Flight of the Bumble Bee


"Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly...
but it doesn't know it so it goes on flying anyway."
[... with wings seemingly too small to carry such a heavy load.]

 An old myth with a lingering charm. 

This may be either a Golden Northern Bumble Bee  (Bombus fervidus)
or a Sonoran Bumble Bee (Bombus sonorus).

October 15, 2019,  while at a stop light, two mating ladybugs landed on my windshield. 


I had to pull off the road to get this close up. See the interesting video below.
