The first monarch butterfly caterpillar of this season begins her metamorphosis here in South Laguna Beach, California.
Expect butterfly to eclose between March 20 and Mar. 24.
We have citizen scientists Field, Nyryn, Katie and Diana on the lookout for the first monarch butterflies in Maine.
